To showcase the OEM partnership between Toshiba and Skype, we created a brand activation that would give stressed out New Yorkers doing their last-minute shopping something to smile about.
Via a live Skype video call, we connected standup comedians in the UK with pedestrians outside the Flatiron building. They told jokes, sang songs, gave away t-shirts, balloons and even some Toshiba Encore Tablets.
The brand activation continued online after the event — fans who shared the video in social were entered in a sweepstakes where they could win an Encore tablet for themselves and a friend.
